The divers of Fire Brigade and Civil Defence have recovered the body of a twelve-year-old boy, 17 hours after he drowned in a canal in Demra area of the capital.

The body of Akashi was found in DND canal around 7:00am on Thursday, said Md Hafizur Rahman, Deputy assistant director of Fire Service (Dhaka area-5).

Earlier on Wednesday afternoon, Akashi went missing in the canal when she and her some friends were bathing in the canal.
