Highest ceilings for class XI admission fees fixed

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Subcommittee has set highest ceilings for HSC admission fees in a bid to control any education business.

The top ceiling fixed for the colleges of Dhaka Metropolitan areas at Tk 5,000, other metropolitan cities  Tk 3,000, district twon Tk 2,000 and upazila level Tk 1,000.

The Inter-Education Board on Monday issued an order asking colleges to publish lists of the admissible students on noticeboard and website.

Students have to be admitted into colleges from September 13 to 17 after completing all procedures, it said. The web address for college admission is: (www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd).

All the education boards have arranged class eleven admission programme via online this year.

The board committee asked the educational institutions to follow the guideline properly.

There are 25 lakh seats in 7,474 government and private colleges across the country. The number of students passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams is 16,90,523.
