Sinha murder case: Seven accused including four cops put on seven-day remand

A court in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday granted a seven-day remand for each seven accused, including four policemen, over Major (rtd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan murder case.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah of Teknaf upazila issued the remand order around 11:15 am.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) appealed to the court for a 10-day remand.

Seven policemen, including ex-Teknaf officer-in-charge Pradeep Kumar and prime accused Inspector Liaqat Ali, who shot Sinha dead, have already been arrested in connection with the murder case.

Other policemen arrested in the case are: SI Nandadulal, ASI Liton Miah and constables Kamal Hossain, Abdullah Al Mamun and Safanur Karim. All seven policemen were suspended later.
