Global coronavirus death toll climbs to 738,930

A total of  738,930 people died from coronavirus worldwide in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in Wuhan of China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 20,254,685 coronavirus cases have been detected at 10:30am Bangladesh time till Tuesday (05:30 GMT). Of them, 13,118,618 patients have been considered recovered, the source said.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 6,397,137.

With the new tally in the 48-hour, 9,339 patients died from coronavirus while 448,403 patients have tested positive, and 395,688 patients have made fully recovery.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 166,192 deaths, followed by Brazil with 101,857, Mexico 53,003, UK 46,526, India 45,353, Italy 35,209, France 30,340, Spain 28,576, Iran 18,616, Russia 15,001, Germany 9,265, Canada 8,987, Pakistan 6,097, Indonesia 5,765, Saudi Arabia 3,199, UAE 357 and Australia 332 respectively, worldometer reported.

 


Top
