Momen condoles deaths at Indian plane accident

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has condoled the deaths at India’s aircraft accident.

He sent a message to External Affairs Minister of India Dr S Jaishankar expressing his deep shock.

“We are deeply shocked to learn about the tragic accident of Air India Express flight of Kozhikode Vande Bharat Mission last evening that have taken precious lives and injured many more.”

He also expressed sympathy to the bereaved family members of the crash victims.

“I convey our deepest condolence. At this hour of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with the members of bereaved families.”

Earlier on Friday night, 20 people, including the pilot, were killed as a passenger plane of Air India Express crashed after it skidded off the runway at Kozhikode Calicut International Airport in the southern state of Kerala.
