Police recovered throat-slit bodies of two youths in Dherua area at Gorai union under Mirzapur upazila of Tangail on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Masud Rana, 28, son of Farid Bepari, hailing from Shantinagar village in Chilmari upazila of Kurigram and Mamun Mia, 28, son of Makbul Hossain, from Chandbari village in Kotwali police station of Rangpur.

Confirming the news, Sayedur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Mirzapur Police Station, said locals spotted the bodies in the area and informed the police. Later, police recovered the bodies at 8:30 am.

The real cause of the deaths could not be ascertained but the matter is being investigated, he said.
