India has recorded 40,739 deaths from coronavirus till Thursday (Bangladesh Time 11:31am), according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 1,963,239 coronavirus cases have been diagnosed  in the country.

Apart from this, 1,327,200 patients have been considered recovered till date.

Besides, the number of active cases are 595,300, the source said.

Among the active cases, 8,944 patients are in critical condition.
