The bodies of a man and his son were recovered from Panchkerir haor on Wednesday morning after a boat capsized in Baniachong upazila of Habiganj on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Ali Nur, 38 and his son Khokon, 7, hailing from Shibpasha Hukra village of Ajmiriganj upazila.

According to locals, the boat carrying 5-7 passengers capsized in the haor caught by a gusty wind while some people were going to Rahmatpur from Shibpasha, leaving three of them missing.

Emran Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Baniachong Police Station, confirmed the matter.
