Bangladesh on Sunday saw a drastic fall of detection in new Covid-19 cases due to a sharp decline in testing. The country reports 886 new coronavirus patients in 24 hours testing only 3,684 samples, raising the total number of infections to 240,746.
During the period the country registered death of 22 new victims which increased total number of fatalities to 3,154.Health authorities reported that another 586 people have recovered from the disease in a day, taking the total number of recoveries to 136,839.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure at its daily health bulletin.
Besides, 886 new cases were detected during the period testing only 3,684 samples, bringing the total cases to 2,40,746.

She also revealed that 586 patients have made full recovery from Covid-19, raising the total number of recoveries to 1,36,839.
