Petition filed seeking Virat Kohli and Tamannaah Bhatia’s arrest for promoting ‘online gambling’

Virat Kohli might have landed himself in hot soup as a Chennai-based advocate has filed a petition against him, which accused him of promoting online gambling. According to multiple media reports, a petition has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking the arrest of Indian captain Virat Kohli and actress Tamannah Bhatia for promoting online gambling.

It is understood that the petitioner filed the case after a youngster committed suicide after not being able to pay back the money he used for gambling. In the petition filed by a Chennai-based advocate, the petitioner has sought direction from the MHC to ban the online gamblings apps stating that youngsters are getting addicted to it, Times Now reported.

According to the report, the petition mentioned online gambling companies are endorsing themselves through stars like Virat Kohli and Tamannah Bhatia to brainwash youngsters and therefore, both should be arrested for it.


The hearing for the case will he reportedly held on Tuesday.
