A total of 6,205 armed forces men, both in service and retired, as well as their family members, have tested positive for Covid-19.

Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) disclosed the information in a press release on Sunday.

The statement also said 508 Armed Forces personnel contracted coronavirus, and 12 died of Covid-19 within the last week, taking the total tally to 78. Among the deceased, 2 were in service and ten retired members of the organisation.

Some 4,675 people have recovered from Covid-19, it also said.
