A total of 16 Indian sailors, who were stranded due to lockdown and international flight suspension meant to curb the spread of coronavirus, returned home on a special flight of NOVOAIR on Friday.
NOVOAIR special flight with Indian sailors reached in Guwahati on Friday at 1:18pm (local time), said a press release of the private airlines.
For the first time a direct flight operated between Dhaka to Guwahati, the capital of Assam.
NOVOAIR currently operates daily 3 flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, 3 flights to Jashore, 4 flights to Saidpur and 1 flight to Sylhet in compliance with the health guidelines issued by the government.
Earlier, the NOVOAIR also repatriated 19 stranded Indian sailors to Koilkata.
