Mayor of Nilphamari Municipality Dewan Kamal Ahmed, who is infected with coronavirus, was transferred from Saidpur, Nilphamari to Dhaka on Monday by a helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force.

Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power under Bangladesh Armed Forces in any national crisis. In line with this, Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force provided necessary guidance to carry out the medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission.

Mayor of Nilphamari Municipality Dewan Karnal Ahmed was flown from Saidpur to Dhaka and was taken to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital for better treatment on Monday.
