The number of deaths caused by novel coronavirus or COVID-19 in the country has come down to less than 30 after 32 days.
On the first day of the last month (June 1), the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed information of 22 deaths from coronavirus. Later, the country did not witness deaths numbering less than 30 till July 3.In the meantime, Bangladesh on June 30 confirmed a record daily high of 64 deaths from the novel coronavirus. And this is the highest number of deaths caused by the virus in a day so far.
The health bulletin of the DGHS on Saturday (today) revealed that 29 people died of coronanvirus in the last 24 hours across the country. This is the lowest number of deaths in 32 days. Till date, Bangladesh saw 1,997 coronavirus deaths.
According to the DGHS, more 3,288 people have been infected with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. Now the number of corona patients in the country stands at 1lakh 59 thousand and 679.
