Former Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza is yet to recover from the coronavirus scare as he was tested positive again.
Mashrafe was tested positive 14 days back and living in isolation since at home since being tested positive.According to BCB sources he had given a sample for testing a few days back and was reported corona positive again.
BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury confirmed daily sun on Saturday but added that there is no reason to panic right away.
“He had given a test after 14 days but was tested corona positive but there is no reason to panic because probably the antigen is still in the body and so he was tested positive,” said Debashish.
“He will give another test after seven days and he might be cleared at that point in time. In most cases, the patient is cleared by 14 days but that not mean it mandatory. Someone might take more time,” he said.
“He is staying at home and following all the instruction and there is no health complication at the moment. It’s just that the virus is not out of his body totally but I am confident that it will disappear soon considering there is no further symptom that suggests his condition is going from bad to worse,” he added.
Mashrafe will give his third test on July 8 (Wednesday).
