210 die of Covid-19 in two months in DMCH

A total of 210 people died of coronavirus in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in the last two months, according to media report.

DMCH director Brig. Gen Nasir Uddin came up with this information at a press briefing held at the conference room of the hospital on Wednesday.

He said admission of corona patients began at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department (dedicated for treatment of corona patients) of the DMCH from April 2 and later started at DMCH-2 from May 16.

The director said some 3,904 corona patients admitted to the DMCH till now. Of them, 2,432 are male while 1,472 are female. So far, 1,580 people have recovered from coronavirus. And 210 people died after being diagnosed with Covid-19 in two months. 

Meanwhile, more 41 people in the country died from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Till date, 1,888 people lost their lives across the country after being infected with coronavirus. The number of corona infected patients now stands at 1 lakh 49 thousand and 298.
