Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Kamrun Nahar passed the order after accepting the first information report of the case.

Earlier in the day, sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Shamsul Alam of Sadarghat River Police Station filed the case with Dakkhin Keraniganj Police Station against owner of Moyur-2, Mofazzal Hamid Soad, master Abul Bashar, master Zakir Hossain, driver Shipon Hawlader, Sukani Nasir Mridha, and crew members Shakil Hossain and Hridoy.
