A total of 140 Bangladeshi nationals, who were stranded in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have returned to the country.
A special flight of US-Bangla Airlines carrying the Bangladeshis landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital at 11:42am on Tuesday, according to media report.The flight of US-Bangla (Boeing 737-800) was operated under the supervision of Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust in order to bring Bangladeshi citizens who were stranded in the UAE capital.
Each passenger of the flight had to get certificate of coronavirus for negative to fly to Bangladesh.
It has been reported that many Bangladesh citizens had been stranded in different cities of the UAE for the past four months due to coronavirus pandemic.
They were unable to return home due to the ban on international flights amid coronavirus outbreak.
