As a part of the ‘Art against Corona’ initiative, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) arranged a cultural programme for ‘special children’ on Sunday. Special children from Rajshahi division performed at the event.
The academy streamed the event live on its Facebook page at 05:00 pm. BSA director general Liaquat Ali Lucky delivered the welcome speech.Lucky said, “I think, special children have a special power to do anything. BSA has been giving the opportunity to special children to perform with remuneration for the last few years. The academy has also added ‘special children section’ to its draft law.”
Anchored by Tamanna Tithi and Hassan Mahmud, the programme featured different cultural programmes. Popular singers Krishnokoli and Arko Sumon entertained the audience by rendering some hit songs. Flute artiste Md. Syed Hassan Babu, puppet artiste Kamal Ahsan Bipul also performed in the programme.
On the other hand, Selim Reza from Chapainawabganj sang ‘Boro Asha Kore Eshechi Go’, Nazifa Tajnin from Bogura rendered ‘Bimurta Ei Ratri Amar’ and Puja Biswas from Natore performed dance.
Earlier, BSA arranged a virtual music show on Thursday. Local and Indian singers participated in the show.
