Dhaka University to start online classes from 1st week of July

Dhaka University (DU) is going to start online academic activities from the first week of July amid ongoing coronavirus situation in the country.

The authorities of DU have asked all its institutes and departments to be ready for the upcoming challenge despite limited capability.

The decision to start online classes was made at a virtual meeting to review the progress and feasibility of online classes, chaired by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman, said a press release signed by DU Public Relations Officer Mahmood Alam.

A committee headed by Prof ASM Maksud Kamal, newly nominated pro-VC (academic), has been formed to formulate policies for conducting online education activities and report on financial assistance issues, including the construction of an IT infrastructure.
