Prof Satya Prasad Majumder has been appointed as new vice chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).   

A notification signed by Deputy Secretary Syed Ali Reza of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education under Education Ministry was published on Thursday following the order of the President.

According to notification, Prof Satya Prasad Majumder, a teacher of Electrical and Electronics Department, has been appointed as the VC of BUET for four years.

Mentionable, he will replace incumbent VC Prof Dr Saiful Islam.
