BSFMSTU VC Prof Samsuddin Ahmed mourns death of Kamal Lohani

Prof Dr Syed Samsuddin Ahmed, VC of Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, Jamalpur today (Saturday) expressed profound shock at the death of Ekushey award winning journalist, noted cultural personality and veteran freedom fighter Kamal Lohani.

In a message of condolence, Dr Samsuddin Ahmed said, we have lost a personality having progressive mindset and an extraordinary fighter of non-communal spirit at the death of Kamal Lohani.

He said that Kamal Lohani played a pivotal role in the Bangalees’ Language Movement, establishing self-right and autonomy as well as the War of Liberation.

BSFMSTU's Vice-Chancellor prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Kamal Lohani died this morning while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and Hospital in Mohakhali.
