Former chief information commissioner Professor Golam Rahman was tested positive for coronavirus along with 4 other members of his family.
The virus infected other members include the professor’s wife Naim Ara Hossain, son, daughter in-law, and a domestic help.Confirming the news, Golam Rahman, who was the former chairman of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), said that all of them tested positive for the virus last week.
Among the infected family members, Naim Ara Hossain is currently undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital. She will be undergoing plasma therapy at the hospital.
The rest of the family members are staying in home isolation.
Golam Rahman is the former Professor of the Mass Communication and Journalism department of Dhaka University.
