Former SCC mayor Kamran tests positive for Covid-19

Badar Uddin Ahmad Kamran, former mayor of Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) tested positive for coronavirus.

Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital Lab conducted the test of Badar Uddin Kamran, central executive member of Awami League, and the test result came out on Friday showing him infected with Covid-19.

Kamran's eldest son Dr Arman Ahmad Shiplu confirmed his father’s Covid-19 infection.

“My father is OK now, He wished blessings to all. His samples were collected and sent to the hospital for examination as he felt sick from fever. He is currently at home,” Dr Arman said.

Earlier on May 27, his wife Asma Kamran also general secretary of the city unit of ruling Awami League was tested positive for coronavirus. She has been staying in isolation at home since then.

Dr Arman also said that his mother’s health condition is improving. She is now better than the earlier stage.
