The government has promoted 123 deputy secretaries and officials of equivalent rank to the post of joint secretary.

The Public Administration Ministry issued two gazette notifications in this regard on Friday.

The newly promoted officials have been made officers on special duty or OSD.

They have not yet been deputed.

The reshuffle took place amid the coronavirus outbreak. The Ministry of Public Administration also formed a quick response team to assist its staffers infected with coronavirus on Wednesday.
