The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on Sunday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will announce the results of 2020 though video conference tomorrow at 10:00am from her official residence at Ganabhaban in the capital.Later, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will inform the details of the results at a press conference through Facebook Live at 11:00am instead of 12:00pm, informed Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer of the education ministry, on Saturday afternoon.
He said the Bangladesh Television (BTV) will telecast the detailed speech of the education minister. News and footages will be sent to all electronic media.
The SSC exams began on February 3 this year, with the theoretical and practical tests ending on February 27 and on March 6 respectively.
Earlier, the government planned to publish the results on May 7 or 8, but could not publish it due to school closure.
All educational institutions of the country have remained closed since March 17, and the government has now extended the closure until June 15 to check further spread of Covid-19.
A total of 20,47,779 students took part in the SSC and equivalent examinations held at 3,512 centres this year.
