Former Jashore-2 lawmaker and Jamaat leader Abu Sayeed Mohammad Shahadat Hossain passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Jashore town. He was 60.

He breathed his last around 3:00 pm on Saturday. He left behind his wife, offspring and innumerable well wishers to mourn his death.
