Fears bigger than the Coronavirus itself

The global pandemic coronavirus, which the World Health Organisation later named as Covid-19, has claimed  366,891 lives, and infected more than 6,033,835 people around the globe since Saturday,  spreading fears among the people across the world. The pandemic has brought world economy to a standstill.

But if we analyze the death tolls across the world from various causes, then we will find that fear causes more damages than the coronavirus.

The number of deaths in the world in the last 3 months of 2020:

A total of 3,14,687  people died from Coronavirus; 3,69,602  from common cold; 3,40,584 from Malaria; 3,53,696 by suicide;  3,93,479  in road accidents; 2,40,950 from HIV; 5,58,471 from talking alcohol, 8,16,498 from smoking and 11,67,714 of cancer.

So, do not panic & don't kill yourself with unnecessary fear.

If you do contact Coronavirus, this still is not a cause for panic because:

81% of the Cases are MILD

14% of the Cases are MODERATE

Only 5% of the Cases are CRITICAL

Which means that even if you do get the virus, you are most likely to recover from it.

Some have said, “but this is worse than SARS and SWINEFLU!”  SARS had a fatality rate of 10 percent, Swine flu 28 percent while COVID-19 has a fatality rate of 2percent.

Moreover, looking at the ages of those who are dying of this virus, the death rate for the people under 55 years of age is only 0.4%.

Let's take one day ie 1st May as an example when Covid 19 took lives of 6406 in the world.

On the same day:

26,283 people died of Cancer

24,641 people died of Heart Disease

4,300 people died of Diabetes

Suicide took 28 times more lives than the virus did.

Mosquitoes kill 2,740 people every day, humans kill 1,300 fellow humans every day, and snakes kill 137 people every day and sharks kill 2 people a year.)

So do the daily things to support your immune system, proper hygiene and do not live in fear.
