Five people have been wounded by bullet injuries in a clash centring the dispute over appointment of an Imam at a village mosque in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi.

The incident took place at Karali Nawshera village of Bagha upazila at noon on Wednesday.

Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bagha Police Station, confirmed the news.

Among the five persons who sustained bullet injuries, three were taken to upazila health complex.
