Around 35 shops were gutted in a fire incident in Notun Bus Stand area of Botiaghata in Khulna on early Wednesday.

It is primarily suspected that the incident has been taken place due to electric short circuit.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Rasheduzzaman of Botiaghata upazila confirming the matter to media said the incendiary has been doused by the combined efforts of local people and Fire Service personnel.
