The Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) has instructed Gonoshasthya Kendra to refrain from supplying and marketing GR COVID-19 kits invented by them for detection of coronavirus.
In a letter to the Gonoshasthya Kendra, the DGDA issued this instruction.The kits were supposed to be used for internal research, but the Gonoshasthya Kendra has declared that they have suspended it for the time being.
It is learned that the performance study of kits of Gonoshasthya Kendra is going on at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. No report on the performance study of their kits has yet been received.
Under this circumstance, it has been asked to refrain from using, supplying and marketing the unauthorised corona kits in detecting coronavirus infection.
