Urging the leaders of political parties to be humanitarian considering the current situation rendered by coronavirus pandemic, Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif on Monday called upon them to shun the politics of blaming each other.
“Instead of finding fault of the government unnecessarily…you (the politicians, who are not in the government)can come forward with suggestions on how the governmentcan tackle the corona disaster in a better way,” hecame up with the appeal in a video message from his residence in the capital on Monday.Hanif, however, assured of accepting any good advice in this regard.
Calling all the politicians to keep them away from the act of slandering, the AL leader said, “The people have an expectation that all party leaders would be sincere in a position of combating the coronavirus disaster,but unfortunately even the politics capitalising the corona has not been stopped.”
Praising the government role in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, the ruling party leader said from the very beginning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is fighting against the novel corona disaster with limited resources.
“The premier is giving necessary instruction and carrying out intensive monitoring in order to get rid of thedisaster,” he added.
