Coronavirus: Global death toll tops 100,000

The global death toll from COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus jumped to 1,00,000 on Friday

It has so far infected 1,652,652 people around the world, according to worldometer.

Of them, 1,182,344 are currently being treated with 50,161 being in serious or critical condition.
So far 369,937 people have recovered.

On Friday, Bangladesh reported its 27th coronavirus death and 94 new cases. The country has so far confirmed 424 cases.

Coronavirus, first reported in China in December last year, is affecting 200 countries and territories around the world and two international cruise ships.

The World Health Organization on March 11 declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic.
