A youth died from fever and cold-related problem in Kapasia of Gazipur early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Selim, 27, son of Surujjaman, resident of Ulsapur village in Tok union under Kapazia upazila of Gazipur.

Confirming the news, Kapasia upazila health and family planning officer Dr Abdus Salam Sarkar said Selim returned to his home from Narayanganj, where he was working in a dispensary shop, three week ago with fever. But, he breathed his last at around 1:00am at her home.

On information, a medical team collected samples from Selim and his other family members on Wednesday and sent those to Dhaka for test, he said.
