The first case of coronavirus infection has been confirmed in the port city Chattogram. 

Chattogram Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi on Friday confirming the matter said, "The patient is currently in institutional isolation."

The 67-year-old man who resides in Chattogram city is currently in the isolation unit of Chattogram General Hospital with three other suspects, hospital sources said.

Bangladesh on Friday reported five new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 61.
