The pre-recorded class lessons for Class III to Class V are going to be broadcast by the Sangsad Bangladesh Television from Sunday during the ongoing holidays announced due to combat the spread of coronavirus.
These lessons would be delivered by some renowned teachers from schools in the capital through recorded videos by the Sangsad TV while students will have to do home works.The students are expected to do a set of homework after taking the classes and submit it to their teachers once schools reopen. The scores obtained on the homework assignments will be considered a part of their continuous assessment.
The content of the TV classes will be also uploaded on social media and other online platforms for the students, said the sources.
Officials said they are recording the class lessons delivered by some renowned teachers at two studios in the capital for the primary students.
Confirming about it, Primary and Mass Education Ministry secretary Akram Al Hossain said the class lessons will be aired by Sangsad TV for the students of class III to V from April 5.
He also said they are also preparing contain for digital teaching for the students of pre-primary to class II and the teaching would be broadcast on TV channel and A2i project under the Prime Minister office is also working for this.
Earlier, on March 29, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has already started airing lessons for secondary level students of classes VI-IX.The Education Ministry extended the shutdown of all schools to April 9 from Mar 31 amid virus fears. The shutdown might be prolonged if the situation worsens, ministry officials said.
