Labour Ministry’s assistant director killed in Brahmanbaria road crash

An assistant director of Ministry of Labor and Employment was killed and three others were injured when two motorcycles collided head on in Nayanpur area of Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Md Yusuf Ahmmed Chowdhury Jewel, 42, son of Mostofa Chowdhury, hailing from, Taranagar village of the upazila.
The injured are identified as Pranto, 18, son of Ripon Mia, Farooq, 30, son of Gedu Mia and Nayim, 18, son of Harun-or-Rashid.
Quoting locals, Rasul Ahmmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Akhaura Police Station, said a motorcycle collided head on with another motorcycle on Akhaura-Agartala highway, leaving them injured.
Later locals took the injured to Akhaura Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared Yusuf dead.
