An activist of Jana Sanghati Samity (reformist) was shot dead while his wife was injured at Rupkari of Baghaichhari upazila on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Durdhab Chakma, 45, reports UNB.

MA Manjur, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station, confirmed the incident.

The reason for the murder and identity of killers could not be known yet. None has claimed responsibility for the shooting.
