Jahangirnagar University authorities on Monday announced to suspend all academic activities, including classes and examinations, of the educational institution from March 18 to April 2.
The decision was made at a syndicate meeting with JU Vice Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam in chair on Monday noon.Pro Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Nurul Alam confirmed this to media this afternoon.
He said, “The decision of closing all classes and examinations of the university from March 18 to April 2 has been made to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections. Besides, all residential students of the university have been asked to leave their dormitories by 11:00 am on March 19.”
All administrative activities of the university will also remain shut from March 22 to April 2, he added.
