Professor Dr AKM Saiful Majid, director at Institute of Business Administration of Dhaka University, has been appointed as the new chairman of the governing body of Grameen Bank for next two years.  

Financial institution division under the finance ministry issued a gazette notification in the regard on Monday.

“Professor Dr AKM Saiful Majid of the Dhaka University’s Professor Dr AKM Saiful Majid has been appointed as chairman and director of governing body of the bank as per sections 9 and 10 (1) of Grameen Bank Act 2013,” the notification said.
