Iconic film actor Salman Shah did not commit suicide rather he was assassinated in a planned way, reclaimed Nila Chowdhury, actor’s mother.
Rejecting the latest investigation report submitted by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), late Salman Shah’s mother on Tuesday (March 10) reclaimed this in a press conference arranged at Bangla Press Club in London.
Alleging that Salman’s wife Samira was involved in the murder, Nila Chowdhury demanded reinvestigation into the murder case.
On February 24, Monday, PBI published the final probe report after concluding theirs over three year’s long investigation describing Salman Shah’s death as a suicide.
The PBI report said various personal issues—the actor’s intimate relation with actress Shabnur, conjugal dispute, previous suicide attempts, complex personal and family relations, and not having children—drove the actor to kill himself.
Nila Chowdhury said, “Salman Shah was killed in a planned way on September 6 in 1996. If he had committed suicide, why his body was dropped from the ceiling fan before we reached his room? It has been stating that he committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan, but it was not realistic, because if he hung from the ceiling fan his legs would have touched the floor.”
Nila Chowdhury further said, “Salman Shah was murdered as he became aware of Samira's illicit relationship.” She also accused daughter-in-law Samira of killing Salman Shah.
Salman Shah’s mother also dismissed the allegation of the intimate relations between actress Shabnur and her son, they wanted to marry.
She also told the media that Samira tried to divert the murder case in a different direction by spreading falsehood against me.
Salman Shah’s younger brother Shahran Chowdhury Biltu and maternal uncle Aurangajeb Bulbul were present at the press conference.
