Former Member of Parliament (MP) Rahim Uddin Bharosha passed away at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday noon. He was 86.

He breathed his last at Square Hospitals in the capital at around 1:20 pm while undergoing treatment, his son Emdadul Haque Bharosha confirmed the news.

Bharosha was elected as MP from Rangpur-10 as a BNP candidate in 1979.
