DU decides not to join uniform entry test system

The Dhaka University has decided not to join the integrated admission test of public universities, which is expected to begin from the 2020-21 academic session.

The decision came from the Academic Council Meeting held at the Senate Building of the university with DU Vice Chancellor Prof M Akhtaruzzman in the chair on Monday afternoon.

Confirming the news, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr Akhtaruzzaman, said the university will enrol students through its own admission test like before.

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Chittagong University already have also decided not to join the uniform admission system.

At a meeting on January 23, the UGC decided to introduce the uniform entry test in all public universities across the country from the academic year 2020-21.
