Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four men of an organised mugging team for allegedly kidnapping a businessman and realising ransom from him identifying themselves as DB men in Narsingdi on Friday.

The arrestees -- Avit Miah (28), Md Papu Miah (28), Maria Akhter Monty (23), and Md Badal Miah (58) -- hailed from Narsingdi.  

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Alep Uddin of RAB-11 disclosed the information at a press conference at its office on Saturday.

He said a team of the elite force arrested the quartet conducting drives in various areas of Narsingdi on Friday night.
