Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will lead the Bangladesh ODI side in the three-match series against Zimbabwe from November 21.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hasan Papon came up with the announcement at a press briefing on Wednesday at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.“We’re thinking about appointing a new captain for the ODI team who can lead Tigers in the next World Cup. We can’t appoint a new captain right before the World Cup. We’ve to appoint a new captain at least two years before that,” Nazmul told the media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
He said the BCB is scheduled to have board meetings next month. “You’ll learn (who is the next captain) after the meeting. Now we’re waiting for this series,” he said.
