The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) has suggested the countrymen that there is no need to be panicked about the Coronavirus as no one in the country has yet been detected with the virus.
Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of IEDCR, came up with the remark at a press conference in the capital on Tuesday.She said there is no need to be worried for Coronavirus as no patient of such virus was identified in the country yet.
The Coronavirus was not identified on the sample tests of the suspected persons, Sabrina added.
Dr Sabrina Flora also said, “We have collected samples of 72 persons till now. Of them, three are Chinese citizens. But we haven’t found the presence of Coronavirus. As a result, we can say that Bangladesh is still free from Coronavirus.”
Mentionable, a total of 1886 people have so far been died due to the spread of Coronavirus. Of the number, all exccept some 5 to 7 people died in China.
