Police recovered the body of a woman from her house in Arambag area of the capital on Tuesday morning. Police also detained the husband, suspected killer of the woman, from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The deceased was identified as Chobi Kuri, 60, wife of Gopal Chandra Kuri.

Confirming the news, Monir Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC-investigation) of Motijheel Thana, said that the reason behind the killing could not be known immediately but the matter is being investigated.

The body bears several injury marks at the head, the OC added.
