Traffic has resumed on the Bangabandhu Bridge after four hours of being suspended as authorities had to stop toll plazas of the bridge due to dense fog.

The toll collection process was halted on both sides of the bridge from 5:00am to 9:30am on Monday.

The suspension of the vehicular movement due to poor visibility caused around 13km tailback at both ends of the bridge, causing immense sufferings to thousands of passengers.

Tangail Traffic Police Inspector Iftekhar Rokon confirmed the news.
