A readymade garments worker was killed after a stone-laden truck hit him in Phulbaria area on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rashid Khan, 35, son of Taifur Rahman, hailing from Sukkatha village of Nageswari upazila in Kurigram.

The Dhaka-bound stone-laden truck from Nabinagar hit Rashid while he was crossing the road in the area this morning, leaving him dead on the spot, said Enamul Haque, sub-inspector (SI) of Savar Police Station.
