A police 'informant' was killed allegedly by a group of drug dealers in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj district on early Wednesday.
Law enforcers recovered the body of Abul Kashem, 50, from Railway Colony of Bhairab Municipality area at around 7:00 am on Thursday.
Confirming this to media, officer-in-charge of Bhairab Police Station Md Shahin said, “Police have sent the body of Kashem to a local hospital’s morgue for an autopsy. No injury mark or assault on any part of his body was found primarily.”
Local drug dealers strangled Kashem to death after calling him over the cell phone on Wednesday night, victim’s family claimed.
Meanwhile, local people said the victim used to work as a police source. Besides, he was involved in illegal drug dealing.
